Does the cheque guarntee system cover cheques given to private persons as well as shops etc? I have a friend who can give me a gauranteed cheque but will the bank honour the gaurantee as I am not a business? Thanks 007

cheques are garunteed to a max of €130
i dont think it matters where the cheque is lodged

note: if the amount is more than 130, you should get more than 1 cheque as the banks will only garuntee €130
