Xsara steering wheel controls and radio units

I've got a Pioneer mp3 stereo - got it over a year ago. Works fine, just that its ISO block doesn't seem compatible with the steering wheel radio controls on my '99 Xsara. I know there are blocks out there that can work, and that nearly all ISO boxes/connections are uniform in almost all vehicles today (same way as fuses etc), so that a non-vehicle-manufacturer's head unit can be used in almost any car with steering controls.

Can any one help me out on this?

    Seanie.

Steering wheel controls usually require adaptors to control non original stereos.

Thanks for the link John R. True, you're right, and I have always know about needing an extra ISO connector box. Its just that they don't always work, and I am looking for anyone who might have hd any experience with the same.

Give In Car Express a call - they're excellent to deal with and always have given me good advice.
