Free to view card and a phone line

    Can anyone tell me if you have a free to view card from the UK should you disconnect your phone line? Can/will sky actually check if the card is a Uk card and will they switch it off?

    Yes you should.

    Yes they can check (irish number on the call back) and yes they will deactivate the card (numerous examples of it happening in spain etc on digitalspy).

    To anyone who has or thinking of getting a FTV card, Make sure you NEVER have your phone line connected to your digibox. happened to a friend of mine, card was wiped.
