Backup Drivers

    Hi,

I'm sure it's an easy solution but anyway.

I'm running XP Pro on my machine and have to reformat the hard drive. I need to backup my drivers before I do this. Can someone point me in the right direction for instructions on how to do this? I've googled and get links to sites with programs that will do this but can I not just copy the files (wherever they are) ?

    Thanks,
    0.

If you're on Windows XP, I think you'll be safe if you copy the contents of each of the following folders to a CD:
    - C:\Windows\Inf
    - C:\Windows\System32\Drivers

    Thanks snapscan1212p,

I was sure it was something straightforward but didn't want reformat before saving them.

Is it the same for windows 2000 pro?

I think its just the "inf" folder. C:\Windows\System32\Drivers doesn't exist in 2000pro (I don't think), but check it first.
