    hi,

    a friend of mine is getting a tattoo and need the words "Lone Wolf" translated into irish. So far I have gotten:

    Mactire Aonair

    and
    Mac Tire Aonarach

    Can anybody tell me which if any is correct!?

    It's really a matter of how much text he wants and how much pain he's prepared to go through for it!

    Aonair and Aonarach are both perfectly correct, but one is longer.

    Mac Tíre or Faolchú are both perfectly correct but one is slightly longer by virtue of it being two words instead of one.(Faolchú is the version for wolf used in the Ulster dialect, everywhere else uses Mac Tíre)
    So it could be any one of these:

    Mac Tíre Aonair

    Mac Tíre Aonarach

    Faolchú Aonair

    Faolchú Aonarach
