Hello guys. My connection speed is too slow, what can it be? I am on DSL.

If you're on IOLBB it's a bit sluggish this evening (in my part of the country anyhow).

Barring that, it could be spyware or a virus.
Try doing a DSL speed test (google it) and see how the results compare to your quoted 512K.

Gelu, I realise this is your first post but it's difficult to image how you could have given less information.

My connection speed is too slow
Slow compared to what? What is your speed and what do you expect it to be?

    I am on DSL
    With what company? What package?

    What can it be?
It could be any number of things. Describe your setup. PC, Operating System, Modem, etc. There might not be a problem, it might be a contention issue, it might be an issue of unrealistic expectations. Without more information it's impossible to say.

You should really read some of the other posts. you might find some helpful information there. You will also get an idea of the amount and type of information you should be supplying.

    Regards,

    Liam

Try this to get the speed of your connection - http://www.giganews.com/test_connect.html

Also trying running LAvasoft AdAware and Spybot and make sure that your anti virus software (if you have any and you should) is up to date.
