    Hi guys,

could you suggest a wireless modem for an eircom broadband? One that would be easy to setup and compatible with eircom.
The modem would probably setup on one of the rooms upstairs and connect through the internet dowstairs.

    Thanks! :)

My brother in law has Eircom bb and we have tried both the linksys wag54g and the netgear 834g with it and both worked fine. He is currently using the netgear downstairs with two pcs connecting upstairs. both are in and around 120 euros

Eircom were selling a wireless Netopia modem/router for €50 (for their customers only), which I thought good value. I ordered this for someone else who I was helping with their Eircom broadband setup. They shipped it out pre-configured, so it really was just plug and play. If you can still get this from them at €50, I think it would be a very good choice. If its just for internet sharing, 'b' is plenty fast.

Otherwise I use a Netgear DG824M at home which has worked very well (slower version of the 834g).

i'll probably check the linksys if eircom's wireless modem is not available.
    thanks!

Have you tried checking the Netopia site to see if the handbook for the router is available for download? It may even be on the cd that usually comes with a router like that.
