Best laser printer for Mac?

    I'm thinking of selling my current HP laser printer and getting a new one that'll work better on my Mac (bad problems with printing A5, no driver update since 2002....)

    What's the best laser printer for a Mac, without breaking the bank? Just black-and-white laser printing.

    Either of you ever tried a USB-Parallel adapter with the MAC for printing?
    I have HPLJ5L used as a network printer via a PC, would'nt mind connecting it directly to the mac if it works.

    I've been using a HP 1000 series on and off for past year, works great once you get the drivers from zenographics. Its a huge footprint but I think the newer ones are a lot more compact
