    in the shower yesterday, and realised how there is no really special bands out there. everyone seems to be making the same old crap (with the exception of a few)... i wanna try something new... or dig up a bit of the past, you know, mix a bit of pink floyd with the doors, then throw a bit of pearl jam on top, and of course dip that into some portishead... sounds ridiculous maybe, but i wanna play some music with people who want to make cool music.... and when i say cool music, i dont mean music that relies on super fast,long guitar solos, i means mix loads of stuff together and see what happens!!!

    im 18, been plying guitar 4 years..... living in dublin.. southside

    influences: the doors, pearl jam, 22-20s, pink floyd, the mars volta, portishead.... anything good...

    If you like the Mars Volta I'll assume you've got all the At The Drive-In stuff. If not you should check it out.

    Also 'The Grateful Dead' might be worth a look.

    iv heard some at the drive-in stuff... must say i liked it, havnt got around to buying any of their stuff yet tho...
