Dismantle RAID 0

I was wondering if there is any way to split a RAID 0 setup of 2 drives (SATA).
I have 2 HDDs connected in RAID 0 to my mobo. However I need to split them into two different physical drives. The reason is I'm selling one and need to keep most of the data(by transferring to the other).
Now, I don't think it's possible but maybe someone else knows how.

If I can't split them then I have to manually copy the data to DVDs and back :(

AFAIK, you wont be able to split them up the way you are describing. You'll probably need to manually copy them to another hdd, if you want to save them. Or you can ghost the current RAID0 set up.

    That's what I thought. Bugger :(

It really depends on your RAID card/controller - some have options to "unmirror". Dig out the docs for your RAID card/controller and have a read.

Nope, unfortunately. It's an onboard RAID chip (Promise 378) and has no such ability as far as I can tell.:(

Doesn't matter anyway - I thought you'd said RAID1 not RAID0 for some reason. Can't "unmirror" what isn't mirrored in the first place..
