I'm actually looking to get another sim card with the same info on it, so I can put it into another phone. I know I would not be able to have the two phones on at the same time (i think)........basically, I have a car kit for an older phone, and I want to get a new phone, but be able to use the older car kit......know what i mean?

Yes, its possible. The Gem SIMs can be cloned. The equipment costs a packet though- and as it has been widely used to clone esp. satellite viewing cards, its also very difficult to get hold of, as its been withdrawn from sale.
If you have a google and find someone who offers a service such as the above- doubtless they would be more than capable of doing similar with your SIM.

Another possibility- is two different SIMs on the one account- with hunting between the two lines. I know of one person who has this from Vodafone. Its the equivalent of call redirecting for mobiles, the only drawback being an additional line rental, even if it is on the same account.

There are possibilities that you have not explored as yet......

Yes its possible but no you cannt get it done. There would be a problem if 2 identical SIMs came up on the same network. I remember somthing about Voda playing about with it and Bertie Ahearn being the only person to have multiple SIMs.

You could have 2 diferant numbers one in you phone and one in the car or you could get a new car kit. There are a load of deals for them going on atm I think. I bought a bluetooth one to do my GF's phone and my own phone just after christmas. Works perfectly well worth every cent. Got it off EBay for 130 delivered and installed it my self.
