    Hi

I have managed to get my hands on a pace 2600 sky digibox decoder. I have the aereal pointing to astra 2D and now I can get all the FTA channels. excelent news.

Now, I would like to get rid of all the ones that are asking for the sky viewing card that I do not have, what can I do to store the channels I want, reorder them and store only the ones I am interested in.

If it is of any help, I am writing from Bilbao, basque country, and I am using a 85cm dish with a 0.3db LNB.

    Slan

Sorry not possible, Mr Murdoch leaves them there to tempt you.

If you just want free to air channels only in your order of choice ie BBC 1 on channel 1 etc consider a cheap FTA box I'd say about 75E's in sunny Spain.

    BTW Hi from Belgium!!!

you could try for an FTV card and get ITN / C4 / C5
or do a swap for an FTA box.. on the shop forum

those extra channels, are they worth 50€?
that is what the guy who sold me the box wants for one activated viewing card...
would you know where to get them cheaper?

    Can you see BBC channels?

I can see lots of channels, including all the BBC 1 (london, NI, Wales..... around ten of them ) BBC2 BBC3 BBC4, ITV3, a few music channels, lots of shopping channels and lots of radio channels,
the only channel I am missing (out of the channels I used to watch while living in Ireland) is C4 but it does not appear in the list... so I do not know really,
what really anoys me if to have all those channels that I can not see in the order they appear and not being able to change them...

Is there a way to flash the bios of the receiver or something like that?
There has to be some way of resetting the receiver....

There is no known way of flashing the system. You're stuck with what's listed. The FTV card that gets you ITV1, ITV2, C4, and five is £20stg to UK residents. THough, a FTV card available locally for the €50 doesn't seem too bad, and less hassle.

Does the upside down card trick still work to get the FTA EPG? I've never tried it myself.

gaizka, try unplugging/switching off your box at the wall socket, inserting a bank card (or similar) into the viewing card slot upside down, then turn the box back on. If this works it should get you the FTA EPG with none of the subscription channels you can't get.

That method doesn't work anymore. It always lists subs channels now. Sneaky Sky!
