Is there a stringent popup-blocking option that kills all spawned windows, including ones requested by the user? Like so:

You're sure you didn't upgrade to XP SP2, which addsthe IE popup blocker?

happens on every link that spawns a new window wheather it automatically opens in a new window or if i right click and select "open link in new window"

if the link opens in the current page its fine..

    internet options
    gerneral tab
    settings
and increase amount of disc space to use!
    hopefully that will sort it

just use mozilla firefox. once you go there you never come back.

You might need to run IE Repair, presuming you have ruled out nasties such as spyware and viruses. You are not alone with this problem by the way - there are people on forums all over the Net with the same problem.

But really ... stick with Mozilla, except where MS, or crappy code forces you to use IE.
