    Anyone know anything about it?

"Guest PC is another computer inside your Mac. That computer is an emulated x86 PC.

It is virtual, it has no separate monitor, mouse, keyboard or hard drive. It is just a Mac OS X program that allows you to install the Microsoft Windows operating system on your Mac and use the software developed only for Windows compatible computers.

Guest PC works just like a usual application and you can easily switch between Windows and Mac OS X desktops at will."

virtual pc is a donkey on any machine. I do find though that windows 2k or even 98 are fast enough for simple things while xp is useless for everything, oh wait im mixed up, thats just xp in general while not on a mac.

Well, I installed it, and my experience was less than stellar. First off, I always get weary when there are misspellings in menus - they spelled "Guest" wrong in the Help menu.

Installation was nice, in that you only need to fill out 1 little form, and it does everything else for you, but it took a LONG time, like 2 hours, on my G4 ibook to install Windows 2000. For reference, VPC 7 only took 15 minutes to install the same win 2000.

Once it was running, it was usable, but the lack of any emulated video ram showed. Maximum of 16 thousand colors, and window redrawing was very noticeable. Speed wise, it seemed on par with VPC, but that's VPC with 8 megs of video ram and millions of colors plus effects on. Their version of the "additions" are a little buggy - I couldn't always get the mouse out of the window - sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.

All that would have been fine, until I tried to do other things on my computer. I fired up a couple of other things while I was surfing, and weird things happened. Adium came up fine, but then when I launched a little windowed game, it got stuck on launch (appeared in the dock, but was not active - with no arrow). then, I couldn't launch or force quit anything - the computer didn't crash, but nothing worked. Guest PC just froze up. I had to restart.

I think it's great that there is competition, and I think this app will improve and grow, but it's nowhere near the usability and stability of VPC 7 right now.
