Moving broadband

I have a quick question, that I'm going to put to Eircom later, but I thought I'd ask here first as someone might know.

I am moving house in the next few weeks, and the house I'm moving to has a phone line, but isn't connected. I'll be moving my Eircom account to this address and wanted to move my EsatBT BB too. Esat, reckon that Eircom will be able to tell me if the line to that house is BB capable before I move the account. I'm weary about this as I read about the problems others have with new lines. This isn't a new line though, the line was connected previously and is in place for about 5 years now.

Will Eircom give me a straight answer, or will I be fobbed off with the usual, 'you have to connect the line first' kind of story. I'd imagine they should know the state of the line.

I'll be ringing Eircom this evening anyway as Esat are already sending me a relocation form and I need to know.

So I bit the bullet and rang Eircom anyway. They say I need to wait till the line is active before they can confirm BB availability. Ah well, I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope that it'll be OK.
