An ISP in my area is starting a trial run for optic fibre internet connection, (10Mb up and down, rising to 30Mb after six months). The cables are being laid in one specific area of town (where I live) and the whole shebang should be operational by April.

And the cost of one year's subscription to this mighty-fine sounding service: absolutely free, gratis and for nix. w00t!
