    Hi,
I have a non digital setup on NTL.
It comes into the attic and feeds a TV in the upstairs bedoom. The picture is very clear. From there it feeds a TV downstairs and from there it feeds two other TV's in two other rooms.

The problem is that the all the Tv's downstairs have a slightly grainy picture.

What type of booster could I buy to improve the quality of the pictures downstairs?

Boosters are a bad idea most of the time they tend to cause more problems than they solve. Booster tend to cause distortion. If the signal is good enough you could split it with a 4 way split. Your problem could also be cause by the cable running down to the TVs.

    You basically have two options

A multi set amplifier/booster basically a box with an input and several output sockets

The other option is a "distibrution amplifier" which boosts the signal for splitting further down the chain

Provided the booster is of decent quality it shouldnt cause any problems In any case if you buy in Argos or maplin you have a 14 day money back gurantee
