I have one of the £20 FTV cards which isn't activated. Is there anyway to ring sky to activate it without a UK address? Is the serial number of the card married in anyway to the address of the person who ordered/bought the card?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes they will know who ordered the card.

The best thing to do is to do the whole 141 thing
Ring them if you know who ordered the card and pretend in your best UK accent

    Following on this topic,
I have activated cards with a serial number of a non SKY contract box.
However I wonder how it is possible to activate cards so that they can be used for RoI boxes which have SKY contract.
In other words can we use a false serial number and leave the card in another box-
    will it work.
How do dealers get access to the cards which they are selling for 100 or 150 Euro?
    ideas please?

Theres no cross checking of the serial number-you can have an Irish sub and a ftv card married to the same box.

Dealers? well you can get 4 or 5 of those cards per UK address
