Get a VGA adapter from eBay, Lik-Sang (HK) or similar place/source. They're pennies and the simplest solution.

Depends on your config & cabling. Also, I don't think TVs output a video signal themselves, you'd need a VCR or a NTL/Sky box to output the (tuned) TV signal.

You need a VGA converter (to convert AV signals into VGA), definitely. If the VGA adapter has a SCART input (= female SCART socket), that's all you need.

Unfortunately, most VGA adapters come with composite (Red/White/Yellow) inputs and possibly also a dedicated S-Video socket (looks like a PC PS/2 port).

If that's the case, you'll also need a SCART to composite adapter. Two variants: female SCART input to composite R/W/Y output only, or a pass-through with a female SCART input at one end, a male SCART output at the other and composite R/W/Y input/output (I/O with a switch) in the middle. Power City has those, for €5 or €9 - can't remember.

What you end up, besides a gas plant behind your monitor :D , is SCART out from your console into SCART adapter, R/W/Y composite out of the adapter into the VGA adapter, then VGA cord between the VGA adapter and your TFT.

(and I've not even started on sound, here   ).
