Whoa! WHOA! OK first - how the hell are they going to top that for the season finale?! There's not a chance surely? Fantastic 2-parter, the best we've probably seen in years.

Lots and lots of plot points moved forward:

    * The reign of the main Goa'uld looks like it's at an end? The very succesful Jaffa victory seems to indicate they're no longer the great threat. Minor quibble here: Baal's super soldiers fall far too easily given what we've seen. Bold!

    * Carter's replicators are defeated (I assume there still could be some in the Asgard's galaxy). I'm assuming this is an end to the Replicator storylines in SG-1.

    * Anubis did nothing really this episode so we've not seen the last of him. However, with the Goa'uld in tatters where can he go? Surely we need to see something more and it may possibly be with his Ancient derivation mixing with Daniel's Ancient powers....

    * Is Daniel dead? There was a beam of light before the end (or what looked like one) and I thought Thor had beamed him out but we would've seen that at the end if he had....

And again more spunky SFX - yay! Visual glory!

Right, next week SG1 is on at 8:30. I'm assuming it's on from 20:30-22:00 so WATCH YOUR VIDEOS! In case you don't know, 8x18 is called "Threads" and is a 90 minute episode. I guess SG:A will be bumped.

The finale is called "Moebius" and I'm guessing it's to do with moebius strips. So we'll see something about taking out a journey from a single point or something about one sidedness. Maybe an idea that you go back to the beginning of where you were. This could be in the form of time travel, from the Ancient ship, and may be the way they intend to bring back Daniel.... But I'm definetely looking forward to finding out. Looks like a great final quarter.

Pretty good. I enjoyed the little subterfuge with Daniel and Replicator Carter, and definitely the reaction of O'Neill and Reynolds to the pausing replicators.

    Danny-boy's pretty f*cked now, no?

Enjoyed it - from the Climatic battle scenes to the trademark quirky humour.
Looking foward to the next episode - and I wonder what happens next when the main enemy, the Goa'uld are pretty much devastated. From earth history allies have a tendency to fail out pretty quickly. SG vs the Jaffa? (That would take the biscuit)

    OK
Very good episode, alot of plot movement for a midseason. Played out more like a season finale, which was pretty cool.

Some top class acting, namely by Baal.

Loved the all knowing God bit couldnt help but laugh :)

They had one've them super soldier killy-majingoe guns.

And that was a GREAT episode. Also the fact that when Daniel was in the replicarters fantasy last week she mentioned he couldn't ascend cos he wasn't dead yet.

I know it wasn't actually what's her name it was replicatrer BUT I reckin it was a kind of hinter to the fact that he may have ascended again.

Next week had better be AMAZING to top this!

There - Sky One confirmed it for me. No Stargate: Atlantis next week. Instead at 20:30 we get a 90 minute special of Stargate: SG-1. Given what's happened recently, I do think they've enough to work out a few plots...

I was wondering did the Replicarter ascended along with Daniel. She was after all killed at that time too? Plus she knew everything that Daniel knew! Could Anubis have taken host to one of the key members in the Jaffa Rebellion? And turn the rebellion agaisnt the SGC!

Uh oh baby. What an Ep. - it pretty much had everything.
Loved it when the replicators just stoppped O'Neil&Reynolds pause for a second before carrying on to blow replicators away.Beautiful!!!!
Where can i get one of those automatic shotguns......................."we's agoin replicator huntin","yeah ha"
Daniel was really good and had a kind mean streak in him - fairly sweet.
What the hell is Baul gonna do now - Jaffa have that kick ass army and all those ships. Reckon they might give some to Earth??????????
Also what happen Tealc's woman friend (Jolene Ballock) thought she and her jaffa would have been in this ep.

SG-A was ok too, but cr*p after SG-1, for that ZPM would have gone back to Atlantis seen the Hive ships comin. Said "f*ck this" into a jumper and back to get the ZPM at all costs.
Eh !!!!! Liberal kinda guy me - what ya goinna dorolleyes.gif

Brillent SG1 and SGA are both at there best of bestests

This was amazing the epic ship to ship battle was very well done such a good story was only a tad annoyed that anubis didnt feature again

Danials death was well done didnt see any assention tho

Also not all replcators where destroyed if u remember all that weapon did was effect every planet WITH a stargate there is more than 1 world that has a burried SG thaty the replactorsd would have taken by ship for its recorces
also what if there was a repolcator ship in transit from 1 system to another. the weapon only effects ships within a certan range of all the planet with stargastes on them.

    10/10

Absolutely brilliant episode - it had everything. I wouldn't count on the Goa'uld being defeated just yet. Anubis and Ba'al are still at large, and given their obvious parlance with Ancient / Asguard technology, they are still a serious threat. Yes, the Jaffa have about 100 Peltaks, but I'd imagine thats only about half the actual Goa'uld fleet, if even that many. Remember Selmek's map last week? The galaxy is teeming with them. I'd say the rebel Jaffa are still hugely outnumbered. In their favour though, they have held the temple, and now control a sizable fleet. That should at least encourage rebellion among the rest of the subservient Jaffa.

I'm pretty sure Daniel is dead, and has ascended again - it seems the most likely outcome. I'm also confident Evil Carter is toast too since Daniel mentioned her as being an inferior design and incapable of experiencing the truth behind the ancient knowledge. However, I don't think Daniel need the help of Oma Desala to ascend this time - he had his mind opened to the ancient knowledge first. In fact, I wonder if he might be a bit of a rogue entity this time round - he seemed pretty pissed at the realisation that Oma stopped him from killing Anubis. That concept reminds me a bit of the episode with the Harcicus Child - Daniel going mad with the genetic knowledge of the Goa'uld. I assume the child could handle it because of Oma's guidance - without that guidance, and the knowledge of the Ancients, could we see Daniel become a bad guy?

Apart from that, I particularly loved the humour between O'Neill and Reynolds - very funny. Next week's episode looks like another cracker though, with the Jaffa going on the offensive.

p.s. It was nice to see some of the Serpent guard back this week aswell - I hope some of you noticed that. :)

Warning, some spoilers might be in here, so beware.

Overall, one of the best episodes i've ever seen. It's amazing that they can manage to keep the story/action/comedy elements in a prefect balance. Thats what i love about stargate, the balance of elements. You never know what your going to watch. Ball is brillant in this episode.
Sky say that the next episode will have daniel facing a difficult choice again, so a small part of the next episode is going to be devoted to him ascending or something to that effect. Should be interesting to see if he ascends again, or manages to return to earth as a human.

Apparently, for the season finale, a lot of things that were resolved get um..un-resolved. Fits in with the name, mobius, i.e. mobius loops, i.e. some sort of time travel. In other words, Anubus will probably figure heavily.

Harping back to my post about the Jaffa having loads of ships now. Arent they replicator enhaced and shouldnt they be able to pretty much destroy most ships now. Also we have one crummy ship with missiles and laser(thingies) that seen to last all of two mins. Can we get some good ships now!!!!!!!!!

And ya saw the jaffa serpent guys, they were all out takes of other shows i take it.

Wow excellent episode, although I don't think that Daniel has ascended again, it all wen't too quick, have to say that when i saw that flash of light i thought "asgard transporter" but with Thor and the prometheus out of the picture then the only person/think with access to that technology would be Anubis. Now that would be an excellent premise for next weeks episode and could allow the Daniel Anubis thread to be tied up nicely

I have just one question... well actually 2.
Could they have used the timeship to go back in time and beam out Daniel?

    but more importantly;

Did anyone see General Jack's auto-shotgun turn into a P90?
    A wizard did it.

    Re: Daniel -
The outside shot of RepliCarters ship showed it disintegrating into dust. The inside shot showed a flash of white light. Daniel has ascended/teleported or was rescued....

Yeah, I looked around on the boards and finally saw the other spoilers.
Ra? I knew there was time travel involved, but I'd never have guessed him. Wonder who they got to play him.
