Right before i get a lashing from everyone, i just wanna say im still a relative noobie at machine building.
I just recieved all the parts from komplett.ie for my new machine.
But, argh! They have included absolutly no cabling for anything, no IDE's, and no SATA cables for my HDD'd. Infact no cabling for any other the products i ordered. Thats just added a fair bit onto my bill as i have to go to Peats tomorrow and pick them all up. Are these cables expensive?

Has this happened with everyone else?

    P

That's not Komplett's fault. You should have known that when you bought them. That's like saying "Oops Garda, I didn't know I had to have lights on my car...".

Seriously though, the motherboard box should include the cables. Did you check the box?

AFAIK, hdd cables doesnt come with the hdd. That was my case for the past 2 hdd I've bought.
However, motherboard usually includes all those cable. I'm assuming that you bought a new mobo for you machine? I'd wait till you get your mobo.
And its not Komplett's fault that you didnt know this fact. Maybe you should have asked since its your first time buying stuff. Always assume you get nothing!

Well I guess they dont supply them because motherboards usually does.

of the products iv bought, the only time i got any cabling is when they were full retail products, like the mobo for example or retail cd drive...
alot of the stuff komplett sell is oem (and cheaper for it) and does not have any cabling included..

We've all been there before so dont worry about it, chances are this wont be the last suprise you'll get ;):)

the mobo usually comes with only 1 IDE cable. So you should probably pick up a second one. The computer case and monitor should come with their own power cables, and thats all you should need afaik.
