Has anyone here had any experience of Eircom's Satellite Broadband offering? What's your opinion of it?

Since the fundamental laws of physics apply (latency) and the High costs of transponder space (contention) apply to Eircom's VSAT offerings too. I expect it's crap just like all the other satellite Internet offerings

Might be ok for web browsing it will be crap for just about everything else and some applications won't work at all.

Satellite is good for remote locations and I have been to some places where satellite is the only viable option (it was crap there too) However nowhere in Ireland is that remote, don't settle for a third world solution.
