    I will be going to the US and canada during the summer and i want to buy a laptop now where would i get an Irish power adapter? and how much would it cost? it will more that likely be a dell laptop unless you have any ideas i would be spending up to about €1700

    Do a search - there are plenty of threads on this. Bottom line is 99% of laptops don't need a power adapter, all you need to do is change the plug. Most work on both US and European voltages.
