Recruitment Agency Rates?

Just wondering if anyone knows the going rate for a recruitment agency? I'm due a bonus for bringing in a new member of staff and I'm wondering how much I should be looking for. Is there a standard rule of thumb that the recruitment agencies use to determine their fee as this is the sort of thing my bonus will be based on.

    Thanks!

It generally won't be the same. Recruitment agencies get paid for sorting through candidates, advertising, interviewing, whatever the company asks. You're talking a percentage of the new employee's yearly salary.

You don't *have* to be paid for bringing in a new member of staff, but from my experience, the bonus is generally between €500 and €1000, depending on how important/specialised the employee is. Most companies I've seen also tend to either hold off on paying the bonus until the employee completes 6 months (sometimes a year for the higher paid positions), or they pay half on hiring and half after x months.

It's similar here, I know we definitely get a bonus and I've had to wait the 6 months to get it. Heard figures of 10% of the new employees salary which would net me a tidy sum even after tax but thought it sounded too good to be true...
