OK I've finally decided to upgrade to a 17" LCD.
Where would be the cheapest place (online or elsewhere) that id find a quality one at an affordable price?

as far as tfts are concerned i wouldnt skimp on price, decide on a model and then try find the lowest price for it.

best thing you can do is look at what you'll be using the tft for and then base your choice on that. eg: do you need dvi or analogue connections? is it for games, if so a low response time is necessary.

Also don't just look at Irish shops or komplett, take a look at the english shops, overclockers.co.uk, dabs etc as they have different brands and often competitive prices (even including shipping).

Check out the overclockers.uk forums, there is a sticky thread on tfts there that is the business and also lots of questions about low cost, good quality tft screens.

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated.
I ended up going with a Samsung 17" 16ms with VGA as I can never see myself needing DVI (In the next few years anyhow!)
