If you are getting seriously big work done it may be worth while going up the north. Don't know about the finglas/blackrock but it would make sense that an area with lower property values has lower overheads.

fuuny actually double or triple the price of nhs fees in the uk. as a dentist in the uk i got 9 pounds from the patient and 2 from the nhs for an extraction. also i got 55p per month for each patient on my books but these lapsed after a year and a bit and u had to se them again to keep the 55p going. attrocious fees, needless to say u had to be fast! :)

Used that one in Budapest last week. Well Pleased.

    Went out Sun, Back Fri.
4 crowns done (stayed extra to get them done) & 2 implants done, €2700
Have 2 go back in 6 mtns to finish implants, €550.
Price I got quoted here was €600-750 per crown & €3000 per implant.
    Saved €5500+..

They recommend 2 hotel & book 4 u at a discount (room 4 2 & 3 dinners, few beers, €280 4 5 nghts). Hotel is basic, but clean and only 2 mins walk from dentist.
Few Irish & english there 4 same thing, so yr not alone.
Dentist arranges free pick up & return airport/hotel.

Dentist was efficent. 1st app was Monday eve, prepared 4 crowns. Bout 40 mins. None of this many visits.
Back on Thur 4 implants (have to be careful 4 a few days till they heal - no smokes, drinks and avoid a few foods)
Fri had crowns fiited & home!
I had got a full mouth xray done here 4 €25 and sent it out first - meant I had prices b4 I went & they could start straight away.
Some people just go first 4 a free consultation.

Got a good deal on flights too. €56 return incl taxes in Aer Lingus sale (on again now).
    Regular price is about €220

And I should get tax back... :D

    Hi Tome

Sounds great. Hows the crack in Budapest?

Wouldn't be great - no Paris or Prague.
Museums, park of statues, world famous health spas, and cruise the Danube.

I believe some people stay 10 days when they return, getting implants finished & crowns and go to Vienna 4 the w/end. About 3 hrs away for something like €35.

BTW, I booked on the .ie site - there is a woman there who will make all the bookings/appointments 4 u.
