Fedora DVD to CDs

    Linux User recently included the Fedora Core 3 distro on its cover DVD with the intention of it being installed from the DVD.

    I don't have a DVD ROM in the Dell machine I usually use for Linux so I need to make the individual CD's.
    Can anyone tell me how this is done? I've scoured the disc but can't find any files that resemble disc images.

    I've got Fedora on DVD (from Linux Format). It includes a script to convert the dvd to three cd's for just this purpose. I can:
    a) send you the script tomorrow. (You'll probably have to modify it)
    b) burn the cd's for you if you want. (I'll have to post unless you are around Kilkenny some time soon)
    c) point you to the LinuxFormat website where you might be able to get an online version

    Cheers!! The script might be useful as it would at least tell me how they construct the images. I use a Mac so it probably won't work outright.

    No bother,

    Like I said though it will be tomorrow before I have it for you. It's at home and I don't have internet access from home (I know... The dark ages... :( ) so I can't send it tonight.

    The scripts make use of some templates and jigdo so the file is quite large when zipped up ~450 Kb (not large but too large for the boards.). pm me your email or somewhere I can ftp it or something like that and I'll send it on.
