I'm looking for some decent quality coaxial cable, about 50 metres of it. I know of Maplins and Peats but it's very expensive there unless you buy a whole reel (100 m) which i don't really want. Just wondering if there's a secret source of cheap coaxial cable in Dublin (or on the Internet)?

    Cheers...

B&q stock ct100 in Liffey Valley Retail Park. If memory serves me, it was €50 for 100m.
Whether that could be regarded as a 'bargain' remains to be seen but there are not that many sources and if buying online, your hit with shipping costs...

Have you tried giving any of the builder's providers a call to see if they sell it?

Second that - they've two types the one above has copper foil,
and they might have a slightly cheaper version with aluminium outer but like the stuff with the braid aint worth it just to save a couple of euro - I got braided cable in homebase a couple of years ago and the run to the back of the house was picking up so much TG4 out of the air that it was intefering with NTL channels !

anyway you will end up using more that you thought - always happens and you could flog the rest here - always someone looking for cable on the satelliter fourm ;)

I can give you 50 metres of satelite quality co-ax cable if you like for €20. The metres are marked on the cable so you know exactly what you're getting. :)
