Has anyone spotted the devices mounted on poles, on both sides of the M1. There are 4 in all. 2 on each side of the rd. Just each side of an overpass near the Swords exit. It was dark when I saw them so could not get a good look. Is this some new device they are watching us with ?

    Possibly traffic volume cameras

One type is definitely a solar panel at the top of a pole, which powers an SOS phone. Lots of them on the M1 so they can't all be phones :p

Traffic volume camera's. Yea that could be right because I think they straddled the on/off ramps. So would let you know about traffic comming on and off the ramps.
