memory stick format for digital camera

I have a Sony Cybershot digital camera (model DSC-P93 if that matters) that I was trying to free up some space on the memory stick.
Stupidly I upped the jpg compression using ACDsee ON THE MEMORY STICK and saved over the picture files that I'd taken.
Now you can't review those pics on the camera....even though you can take new pics as well as view them in ACDsee.
I get "file error" whenever I try to review those old pics.
I also have the pics saved on a CD in JPG format.
Is there a way to change the pics on CD into a format the memory stick can read so as to view them on the camera again.

    Big huge TIA
