Thinking about building my own machine and I’m looking for some help.

The easiest thing would be to buy a case with a power supply and I was thinking about the Antec SLK1650B Black Quiet Mini Tower Case - 350W SmartPower PSU from OCUK

    (10th down)

But I was then thinking about getting a case and a bigger PSU separate.
Just wondering how hard or easy it is to put them together and do I have to be careful about the parts I get like the Mother board if I get a PSU…say 600W

All ATX cases and PSU's will fit together easily with just four small screws.

If you buy a powerful PSU you don't have to worry about the parts. The PSU still delivers the same 12V and 5V DC rails so there is no need to worry about components. Strictly speaking you probably won't ever need a 600W PSU though.

Getting a case and good psu is the best way to go, usually the psu's that come with cases are terrible. And unless your planning an sli setup 600w is probably over the top. The 420w enermax would be more than enough for most setups.

I just got myself that 600W noisetaker and it's sweet as a nut, not silent but a damn sight quieter than most others. Can sleep with it on no problem, can't sleep with my Antec TB 480W..
