I want to ween myself onto mustard.
I do like the taste, but not too strong (yet).

The "Three Cheeses" bagle in the Arts Cafe in UCD is what convinced me
    the mustard was good.

    Any sugestions

What kind of mustard is in that bagel?

I'm interest too, so I checked the Arts cafe.

It doesn't say, just says mustard. So I bought one and it seem to be a very mild but seed laden type.

    Any ideas?

/ps - bloody nice bagle, expensive though...

Is it sweet? If so, it could be the dalkey stuff, otherwise it's likely to be some German variety.

Sounds like a deli mustard, quite common in sandwiches, really a wholegrain mixed with Mayo, not the done thing ....tut tut.

    Yes, that sounds pretty accurate.

I thought it was really nice.

Anyone got a suggestion on which 'real' mustard is similar?.

    Otherwise I'll try XOR's suggestions.

You want the Dalkey mustard as ecksor said.
Any wholegrain should do it really though.

    Colman's English Mustard.

Bacon isn't the same without it.

I think there should be a Meanies forum, they're so nice, and have lasted the test of time just like mustard they have fought obscurity to remain one of the tastiest corn snack of all time in my opinion.

They had some competition from Snaps a few years ago Disco's tried a pickled onion range which also failed miserably.

    So who's with me??

    VOTE FOR A MEANIES FORUM!!!

My friend found a dead beatle in a meanie in primary school and another friend found someone's wedding ring in another packet ...

I haven't eaten meanies since the Beatle incident, but the wedding ring one has ensured that none of my descendants ever shall either.
