Is it true sony are to stop making lappies soon. They are so sweet looking. Buddy bought a sweet rig lappie and a PDA. Outta this world would be a crying shame, quality build is nice.

Where'd you hear that? the only thing google has is that they've pulled out of the US PDA business.

I've had my Sony Vaio notebook since last May and it's great. Never had any problems with it.

What Sony outlet store. I have a Sony Vaio and I think its great. I have a desktop replacement, I wish I'd gone for something more portable though.

I have had Dells, Sony's and Advent laptops and the Sony wins hands down. The build quality is great....the screens are the best in the business...the software and restore disks are great and nive and fast too. Only thinkg about my current sony is the battery time but uts a P4 system so that to be expected

never buy any laptop without a 3 year warranty. sonys 1 year warranty is useless. acer offer better warrantys and the travelmate series is good avoid the aspire. they are also cheaper than sony.

Thats a good point. With a laptop warranty is very important. Make sure you get a long one. I bought an extra two years with my Sony bringing it up to 3yrs, but it does make it a lot more expensive. Some makes have 3yr warranties included in the price. Like the Lidi offer for example. Though the Sonys have fantastic screens and keyboards, which makes the premium worth it for me.

in my experience, the Sony Laptops are built really well, the only thing that let's just about all of them down is the crap battery performance, and the price of new ones.

International as far as I know. The warranty seems to be based on the machine and not who owns it since its based on the machines serial number.
