How do you ask you grandfather if he wants to try dope

Hi, I ill get straight to it my grandfather has cronic back ache and finds it hard to get to sleep he has told me this and tbh it is making him very unhappy "I done" "worn out" "couldnt care if i died tomorrow" so as you see its affected him quite a bit the thing is when I find it hard to sleep or need to get to bed early for an early start I would have a few tokes, The thing is how exactly do I ask my grandfather if he wants to try? its kinda hard as well to judge we are not very close even thou we live beside each other. But im pretty sure it would help his given situation.

Thats illegal and I think it is wrong.

If one were to approach it while scripting a movie or play, I'd guess the best way to do it would be to say I think I read that marijuana, smoked, can relieve that kind of pain, and then judge his reaction to that. Get the idea into his head first of all without also suggesting that you could sort it out for him. He/you could even ask a doctor about it.
