that's cruel.... Plug in a molex, same one as the DVD/CD-ROM. Make sure it's on it's on wire, or not on the same one as the HDD at least as it eats the power,

k i still dont get this..i got loada wires with it as well but guess there for tv support.. the (black red yellow) wire connector u know the one..does it plug into the motherboard? i cant see any extra slots

The red/black/yellow wire is a power cable. Take the power cable out of your CD drive, stick it into the powerconnector that came with the card, then put that back into the CD drive

CPU is fine , 9800 will work on almost any motherboard that has an AGP slot.

The power supply located at the back of the pc has cables coming from it connect the card to one of them, they may be an adapater to allow it to use a HDs power supply if you dont have one free.

The card is probably just not seated properly... try pushing it in a bit more (or a bit less)

Firstly, there is no connection to the motherboard. All you need to do is plug the card on the AGP slot and plug in a molex connector to your card as KdJac shown.
Have you uninstall the driver from your previous card? Once you have done that, you need to install Catalyst driver for your card.

    you also need a quality (not q-tec) 300w psu for a 9800pro

ye uninstalled previous drivers that pic is what i have..that power connector plugging into it has 2 ends..one 3/4 of the way up the wire the other at the top..tried plugging the top one into the cd rom drie and then the middle one into the cd rom power cable..and tried just plugging the one in..i'd say the bsld is it working..just prob need to push it in more..

you'd never guess what i study in college lol

they won't use them floppy power connecters

there's only one connecter they'll use and it's the same ones as you put into hard drives, cd drives etc.

it's like a silicon jigsaw kind of only one piece will fit there

Yeah, it's keyed. Just try the power connectors, It shouldn't take much force to get it in. So if you're pushing too hard, it might be the wrong way.
