Of course people have seen it, but how exactly it would qualify as Horror is beyond me.

Yes, have it on DVD and really enjoy it. It was banned, as such, at the director Stanley Kubrick's request when it was blamed for inciting violence. When Kubrick died, it got resubmitted and a new release.

The only horror element really could be
the torture scene at the end
but really it's more of a sci-fi/drama flick.

It was banned because of the scenes of random violence and
    rape
    , wasn't it?

It was banned on Kubricks insistance. He felt that the world wasnt ready for the film.

    He felt that the world
    aka Uk and ireland..

Its definetly not a horror in the traditional sense.. or any other for that matter..

    Excellent movie.
