They've yet to win Leinster and after last summer are now the last one of the 12 waiting to do so. They had a good team in the early 90s. After the famous Dublin/Meath 4 game saga in 1991, Meath's next opponents were Wicklow. I was at the match. The game ended in a draw. Had Meath lost people would have blamed the 4 games that they had had with Dublin, but the truth is that Wicklow played very well that day. Had they won, and they certainly could have, they'd have deserved it. Unfortunately, as is usually the case with replays, they did not repeat the same level of performance and were beaten.

You could also go with Dublin but chances are their odds aren't that high as there are many deluded souls walking the streets of the capital. ;)

You have to be out of your mind to put money on Wicklow wining a game never mind sam. Especialy since they got Kildare in the 1st round tracks and the boy's will run rings round our bunch of excuses for players There team is made up of a handful of senior some intermediate and junior players. If they get promoted from the leauge it will be a good season. Limerick are good darkhorse bet should have bet Kerry last year.

Did I say anything that was untrue?

For me this year I think it's one of the Ulster teams or Kerry. In Leinster Laois might get somewhere, while Westmeath Dublin or anyone else, I think, are unlikely to do much. In Connaught I don't know. Are Galway gone or have they a chance? Mayo might have a chance but I'd rule out Roscommons chances of doing anything outside of connaught. Limerick would be me outside bet this year and Fermanagh would be a close second. While they failed to produce in Ulster last year they got over the big game hurdle by progressing so far in the all-ireland series.

But Wicklow, now that's one for the Cuckoo's nest.

Anything could happen, which is the beauty of it. There will be some surprises as always and Wicklow could be one of them. I doubt it, but they could be. :)

No I'm saying they're likely to be the only Leinster team to do anything in the all-ireland series. I'd have them as favourites for Leinster but who knows, maybe Wicklow will win it!

I think there is nothing reeally between Dublin, Laois and Westmeath. Any of them could win Leinster but I do not think any of them will do much in the All Ireland series.

Dublin can't score! That is their problem, decent field play, but the forwards kick wides like they were in fashion.

Laois, if we can avoid mounting injuries can pack alot of punch, this years team is the fittest since Micko took over.

Westmeath will be strong again this year, but I think that the Laois defence will be better able to handle some of their forwards this year. Westmeath are very similar to Dublin at the moment, but are better.

Wexford will be a tough leinster side to overcome as will Offaly, Meath and Kildare. The rest of the teams simply do not have the skill to do any major impact.

now imposter you know there is no point on betting on the dubs for the All Ireland cause the odd arent long enough......Which prompted me to log onto Paddy power and put 50 quid on them winning the NFL at 15/2

All i'll say is that there's one born every minute :)

Most recent All Irelands, Leinsters and Leagues have been won by teams who's manager is in his first year in charge.

So its the Dubs for the treble, or the triple as its called in GAA. :D

Comparing Greece and Wicklow is a nonsense - Malta would be a better comparison to Wicklow. And nobody would ever put 100 euro on either of those to win a major title.
