Will there be cable sharing in the future?

Not sure if this has been touched on before but is there any plans in the future for tv companies to use each others cable to give more competion, the same kind of system they use for telco's

This was threathened by Comreg a while ago (they have the ability to force it through) but they scrapped the idea.
They are happy with the competition we have.

At this point you realise that no one in comreg is a cable customer. Quite strange.
