Has anyone seen this, there making a game based on one of the best games ever Xcom UFO enemy unknown. Maybe this is old news but I only discovered it yesterday. If it’s anything like xcom, which it basically looks like a very similar and updated version, it should be very good.

I download the demo it just lets you use the geoscape looks promising

it would be sweet if someone would do a modern version of "lords of chaos",
i have to admit one of my main motivations towards learning programing is to do something in the style of that or the original "laser squad" but more modern graphics and all :D .
laser squad nemesis is good but its a totaly different game in my opinion

am i the only one...who didnt like the turn based combat part and loved the placing and planning of your bases in UFO?

all these remakes cut that from the remakes which annoys me. (aftermath cut it aswell)

Yeah I like the base aspect of it alot aswell, although I think the turn-based combat and the base building complemented each other. Aftermath was good but they could have done alot more with it. The reseach and manufacture part was just screwed up. They've fixed it a bit for the Aftershock, hopefully it will bring back the old x-com feeling.

"Within your base you can build several buildings and the combination of them is up to you. You can choose from factories for manufacturing, laboratories for research, education buildings for increasing the knowledge level and defense facilities for training local militia."

One of my favourite parts of the combat was you didn't have to take the route that was layed out infront of you :) Don't feel like walking in to a corridor of fire in a battleship? Use a blaster bomb and open up the side or finding that last alien on a mission... just level all the buildings with laser rifles :D

"You can destroy almost everything in the mission. You can break into buildings with rockets for instance or reduce the whole building to the concrete skeleton."

X-com Apocalyspe, I used to love that game when I was younger. Still fairly widely available in stores even now, although the other older X-com games aren't.....pity.
