Bravo are showing UFC 51 from Vegas as part of their "fight season". it will air on the 6th of Feb which i believe is around 24 hours after the live show. It will feature

Tito Ortiz v. Vitor Belfort (I pick Ortiz to win)
Evan Tanner v. David Terrell (I pick Tanner to win)
Tim Sylvia v. Adrei Arlovski (I pick Sylvia to win)

Not a great card TBH, but i will certainly tune in.

To try and stimulate some debate, here are my picks.....

Tito Ortiz vs. Vitor Belfort, Ortiz by boring boring G'n'p decision, don't think he will stop him as he is on a run of bad form, would love to see Belfort get off a submission on him but the odds are mightily against it

Tim Sylvia vs. Andre Arlovski - This will definitley not go the distance and I am looking forward to it. I am going to pick the upset to be controversial, Arlovski KO R3

Evan Tanner vs. David Terrell - Tanner by decision

Pete Sell vs. Phil Baroni - hopefully Baroni is back on the 'nutritional supplements' and will come out all guns blazing. Baroni KO R1

David Loiseau vs. Joe Riggs - I say Loiseau by Dec

James Irvin vs. Mike Kyle - Kyle, this is Irvin's first big fight and first UFC appearance also I think it iwll be too much for him, also Kyle is my hero after biting Sims and saying "he is a dirty b@stard anyway!"

Justin Eilers vs. Paul Buentello - a quick look at the two of them on Sherdog shows that both these guys beat Mike Kyle already,if it stays standing my (virtual cyber) money is on Eilers KO R1

Nick Diaz vs. Drew Fickett - Diaz KO R2

Karo Parisyan vs. Chris Lytle - Lytle had probably the best stand up match the UFC has ever seenw ith Lawler in UFC 45 and I am a big fan of his, that being said I see Parisyan winning by Sub in Round 3

    UFC 51 airing on Bravo
by Joe Reilly 21/1/2005 6:47 pm

A good friend of the MMA community in Ireland and the UK, Beth Rosenberg, who works for Zuffa LLC has confirmed that Bravo on SKY Digitial and other cable operators in the UK area will be airing UFC 51 on the 6th of February 2005 (A day after the event). It has not been confirmed 100% whether the whole show will be aired or an edited version. However, preliminary reports suggest that UFC 51: Super Saturday will be shown on Bravo on Sunday the 6th of February at 9pm till midnight, which suggests the entire PPV broadcast that airs live in the USA the day before will be available to all the great MMA fans in Ireland, the UK and anywhere else in Europe that has the channel. Wrestling 101 thanks Zuffa LLC and Bravo for this brilliant gesture to the fans in this part of the world. Check back later for more concrete details on this. Here is the latest on the card at UFC 51:

UFC 51: Super Saturday - Mandalay Bay (Las Vegas, Nevada)

    Main Event

    Light Heavweight Bout

Vitor 'The Phenom' Belfort vs. 'The Huntington beach Bad Boy' Tito Ortiz

    Vacant Interim Heavyweight Championship

'The Maine-iac' Tim Sylvia vs. 'The Pitbull' Andrei Arlovski

    Vacant Middleweight Championship

David 'The Soul Assassin' Terrell vs. Evan Tanner

    Heavweight Bouts

    Justin Eilers vs. Paul Buentello

Mike 'Mack' Kyle vs. James Irvin

    Middleweight Bouts

Joe 'Diesel' Riggs vs. David 'The Crow' Loiseau

'The New York Bad Ass' Phil Baroni vs. Pete 'Drago' Sell

    Welterweight Bouts

Karo 'The Heat' Parisyan vs. Chris 'Lights Out' Lytle

    Nick Diaz vs. Drew Fickett

Ok gonna stir some debate on the big one: Tito Vs. Belfort

Why does nobody rate Vitor? I reckon he could punch the crap standing out of Tito. Admittedly his "heart" is kinda dodge and Tito is sporting a ginormous calcium noggin but I think Vitor could own Tito in standing and he could get lucky with a sub on the ground. If Vitor could last against Couture then I think he has a chance of a sneaky sub against a lower grade wrestler like Tito.

My hope: Vitor by Sub Rd.3

I can see it going to decision though and we all know whatll happen then: Tito by Lay N Pray!

Can't see tito in a standing fight. he'll go to ground the second he gets a chance. Plus I still like Tito after he knocked the crap out of shamrock. Boy did he need a beating back then or what?

I thought the opposite tbh, I thought Tito could have done with having his arse handed to him, though I knew it wasn't goin to be Ken doing it!
Since then I have gone from a strong dislike of Tito to a mild disinterest, he has been shown up sufficiently now that he no longer annoys me!

I picked Randy to dominate Tito when they fought, and everyone thought Tito was going to be the man. I was right! I rule!

I'd like to see Belfort beat Tito. I reckon he's way better at the stand up. I can't see a submission win given the lay n pray nature of the UFC.
