I'm heading to Prague for a week next week and was wondering what I can expect on the price of stuff like clothes, CDs, DVDs etc. I hear everything is usually far cheaper than here. Anyone have any idea?

Hi there Zapho, I was there a few years ago and to be honest the shopping wasn't great - so don't build up your expectations from a shopping point of view - unless things have changed.

Prague is a beautiful city, the architecture is amazing, the city center is very touristy, don't be afraid to wander down to some of the pubs on side streets and you will get beautiful beers at a fraction of the price.

    Enjoy

You're not going to save much. Especially on clothes. They seem to have realised that the tourists have a bit of spare cash! Food, drink, cigs etc. are very reasonable but i wouldn't expect much of anything else. Fantastic city break though....well worth it. If ur gonna travel a little around the country the prices are a bit better but prague is a real tourist centre now.

    What epgirffin said!

Was there couple of months ago. Fags, booze etc. very cheap. Clothes - might as well buy them at home! CDs etc - moderately cheaper.

Thanks for the replies. Cool, so I might as well just spend the time touring rather then shopping. We're heading to the mountains for skiing too, which should be a great laugh!
