Which character in star trek do you think was the best individual villian?

I dont mean villian races (so no screaming Borg!) I want individual characters.

    my top 3 would be

    3. Khan (star trek 2)
    2. Klingon generel in star trek 6

    1. GUL DUKAT! This man is so very very cool as a villian...i'm hunting down every episode of ds9 he is in. cause he is the best villian ever in star trek

(Borg queen might have gotten if she wasnt ruined in voyager.

Nice top 3, I'd add the Borg Queen to the list.

Agree with Gul Dukat. I'd say Weyon too.

No there not the same actor Brunt and Weyoun (and quite a few more) where played by Jeffrey Combs and gul dukat was played by Alaimo, Marc

Eventhough Q is not very evil I still think he is the best/most interesting 'villian' character.

Chirst. It would have made filming of the last 2 seasons of DS9 pretty hard if they were the same actor.

    err... Romulan Commander.
    Commander/Ambassador Tomalak?
    aka G'Kar from Babylon 5?

    Tomolock was his name yes

You see, Picard, after we dissect your Enterprise for every precious bit of information, I intend to display its broken hull in the center of the Romulan capitol as a symbol of our victory. It will inspire our armies for generations to come. And serve as a warning to any other traitor who would create ripples of disloyalty.

Tomalak in TNG episode "The Defector".

Love this quote for its sheer evilness! :D

    Chain of command part 2
    Piccard being tortured.
Gul Madred is a bollox as the torturer. :D

    Picard:"There..are...FOUR LIGHTS!"
Gul Madred: How many lights do you see there?
    Picard: I see four lights
Gul Madred: No..There are five..are you quite sure?
    Picard: There are four lights

Gul Madred: That was the lowest possible setting
Picard: I know nothing of Minos Corva
Gul Madred: But I've told you that I believe you. I didn't ask you about Minos Corva. I asked how many lights you see
Picard: *squints* There are four lights
Gul Madred: I don't understand how you be so mistaken *activates device*

Gul Madred: Shall we begin again?*activates lights* How many lights are there?
    Picard: What lights?

Picard: Ah! You called me Picard!
Gul Madred: What are the Federation's defense plans for Minos Corva!?
    Picard: There are four lights!

Q could hardly be considered a villain. He's just a guy who gets bored.

But yeah, best villain probably is Gul Dukat.
Followed by Lursa and Betor(check spelling on this, I don't know)

... Wesley Crusher!! He was my enemy from day I. Just can´t stand the bloke!!

    3. Schinzon
    2. Lore
    1. General Chang

The Borg Queen as played by Alice Krige, not the Voyager Borg Queen. So seductive, yet so monstrous..so oily-literally!

Q is definitely number one on the list. I always thought it odd that of the four TNG films none of them featured Q as the main enemy given that he and the Borg were the two biggest foes in the TV series.

Khan, Garak (I know it's arguable if he's an enemy but he very much was in the beginning), Seska and Borg Queen ...in no particular order.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,488 ✭✭✭Goodshape

    (man this thread is old...)

Borg queen... no, because I prefered the Borg as a collective. Having a leader/queen made First Contact work (and it did work), it's just a pity they couldn't have made it 'work' without effectively ruining the Borg.

    My top 3 would be:

    3) Klingon Commander from ST:VI. Just a great performance.

    2) The Duras Sisters (I know that's technically two, but they acted together). Always a fan of Klingon stories in TNG, and these gals were great agitators.

    1) Khan.

Folk it was hard to omit : Lore, Q, Wayun (sp?), Commander Kruge from Search For Spock.

I liked the female changling because she was so merciless.

Gul Dukat by a long way.

He's the Hans Gruber of Star Trek.
