Where is it written that a wireless, unsecure network is bound to be conncted to the internet? Did it not occur to you that any of them might be honeytraps put up to look for people like you?

You should go to one you know is free for definite (kylemore cafe stephens green with a purchase, or outside monica peters in blackrock at the telephone box) if you can't load pages whilst connected to them, then you may not have it set up properly, if you can, then it means its the other networks you are connecting to that aren't allowing you to access them. I remember looking for a connection driving around, I'd see the connection status go to very good and stop and try to connect but it wouldn't load the pages in most places except eircom free spots and one or two other places. I was driving around for ages that night
