DV Cameras

    I know next to nothing about these. Work is going to buy one for recordign footage of demos etc. Given a budget of €1000-€1500 inc VAT can anyone suggest what features I should be looking for and/or suggest a model.

    Thinking about it simple things like firewire, Nightvision/IR, image stabaliser etc would be be a good start.

    Make sure the camera has DV in as well as out so you can get the footage back on the tape after editing (on a PC or whathaveyou).

    Sounds like a pretty obvious feature, but iirc there's a lot of models that don't have it.

    1000-1500 should get you a pretty nice camera anyway..
