How to automate a task?

Can anyone tell me if there's any program I can use to automate the following task:

    Open an application (Audio Hijack)
Open a stream in iTunes so that Audio Hijack can record it when its timer kicks in.

The stream doesn't run 24/7 - otherwise this would be easy. It runs 9pm-midnight on a Thursday, and obviously i'm not going to be home every week without fail so I really would like to find a way of automating it :)

    Hi eth0,

In the version of Hijack I have it's possible to have it launch a URL when it opens (select inspector after selecting a new session), if you set iTunes to be the default internet audio player and have audio hijack initiate the link would that be a workaround, of course I could just be talkin' out of my a**e !!!

Looks like it should work as long as you have a definite URL or file you can target for the stream (i.e. if it's the same every week). OP - does the stream stick a little file on your desktop the way RealPlayer does? I've seen some iTunes streams do this.
