Aldi 19" LCD monitor for €459 (Gericom)

    I saw the above while aimlessly wandering in Aldi's Parnell St last Thursday.
    Did anyone buy one? If so would you recommend?

    If you goto Komplett.ie you'll find 7+ 19" monitors for €400. + €10 shipping to Ireland. Good makes and selection. No-way would I buy something like that from aldi/lidl if you can get a Samsung 19" for €400

    I bought the Gericom monitor. It had dead pixels when I bought it, low responce time and crapped out and died a month later.

    As always in life, there's cheaper elsewhere... Cheaper than Komplett I mean. C'est la vie. Shop around yadda yadda yadda. TFTs require a bit of thought unless they aren't for you or you don't care too much about response times and so on.

    You can buy a 19" Phillips TFT with 12ms response time on Savastore.com for only €377, including delivery to Ireland. I have ordered off them before and I personally have found them to be very reliable with deliveries arriving in 3 - 4 days.

    An extra 2 inches for €80 less ;)
