Computer acting up

Folks, When I try to open windows task manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) it opens, but then disappears after about one second. Sounds like a virus or something like that, but scans show up nothing. Also, my motherboard keeps beeping at me for no reason, in a pattern kinda similar to a heartbeat, and I've not idea what's causing that…

Folks,
When I try to open windows task manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) it opens, but then disappears after about one second.
Sounds like a virus or something like that, but scans show up nothing.

Also, my motherboard keeps beeping at me for no reason, in a pattern kinda similar to a heartbeat, and I've not idea what's causing that too. It's nothing to do with a overheating-warning or anything like that.

Any ideas on both of these?
