    Im buying a hair clippers and have been browsing throught the new Argos catalogue and there seems to be 2 standards:
    lube for life blades, never have to be oiled;
    and the other is blades that have to be oiled, anyone know which is better, and or advantages/disadvantages
    My budget is around 40 potatoes
    Also both Clippers i had my eye on were Remington's, ive heard there good, am i right?

    lmao. Just put up a topic regarding clippers on after hours. I have a non-oil one and they are grand. I have thick hair as well, and it still manages to cut perfectly. Batteries last a good while too. Take care of the blades though, otherwise the spur yokes will break off.

    try terry sales also on abbey st, from what i remember they'r a wholesale kinda place...might be cheaper and professional hairdressers use it, so the staff would probly know more then a argos worker(generalisation but..)

    I had a Babyliss once... couldn't find new blades anywhere .... my letter to service dept (correct address as per handbook) returned undelivered... so ... never again.

    Wahl is the way to go.
