Has anyone here tried it? Was just wondering if experiences have been good or bad.. I know it's supposed to dry out your hair quite a lot... but does intensive conditioner actually work to keep hair in good condition?

If you had it done.. would you recommend it?

i have quite curly hair, and when it was semi-long, it got it straightened. it did thin it out a bit, but didnt have any problems with it drying out or anything. dunno about long hair.

CG, I've had my curly hair straightened a few times. It didn't dry my hair too much and I recommend it if you go to a good salon. A moisturizing shampoo and conditioner on your hair is always a good thing after you've had a chemical process done on your hair.

Go for it, especially if you want less hassle getting the straight hair look. :)

CG, the straightening tended to last about 4 months. Probably because the same solution to give a classic permanent wave/curl was used - combed through to give a "reverse perm". It does wear off and new hair can get a little frizzy, but the weight of your hair & smoothing gel can keep that under control.

Can't recommend anyone in Dublin, but why not call the Peter Mark salon people and see what they say?

Just rang a couple of peter mark salons and they don't seem to know who would do it in Dublin.

Does anyone know anywhere in Dublin that does it?
