Keyboard Question

    I should know the answer to this I but here goes :mad: - have just reinstalled windows xp on a friend's laptop but what setting do I need to adjust now so as to make alt 2 show @ rather than " (currently alt 2 shows " and alt ' shows @)

    Control panel>regonal option and change the keyboard to English(Ireland)

    Its on the setup as well - if ya missed that make sure the time is on Greenwich Mean Time as well.

    No - in fact this was what I had it set to originally and when I noticed it wasnt right I tried a few other settings but none of them changed anything so its back now to the original one of irish keyboard as suggested but still no change.

    Presume you using 2000 or XP so you mght not have rights.Restart in admin and change it. Or restart the comp into settings and do it through the BIOS(not sure if you can do it this way)

    Do you have a "?" icon in the bottom right beside you system tray? Click on that you might have an option to switch between languages.
